Something no website owner wants to see: Briefly unavailable for scheduled maintenance. Check back in a minute.

This is often caused by a failed plugin update. Thankfully it’s relatively easy to fix!

To complete this you have two options.

Option 1: FTP access.

Configure your FTP client to connect to your web space.

Browse to your home directory (often labelled “www” or “public_html”).

Locate the file .maintenance

Delete this file.

Your website should be working again.

Option 2: No FTP Access

Log into you website control panel, click “File Manager”

Browse to your home directory (often labelled “www” or “public_html”).

Locate the file .maintenance
